An article that appeared on 21 Jan in AdelaideNow (The Advertiser) stated:
"THE rising median house price has outstripped wage increases in the past decade, prompting calls for an urgent reform of the state's housing policies and taxes."
"Figures presented in the policy show the median house price has risen 219 per cent in the past 10 years from $122,300 in 2000 to $390,125 in 2009,.."
The HIA called for a time limit for land rezoning among other things.
I note that I have been making the link between land zoning and unaffordable housing since 2006
I am also the only candidate for the SA Upper House in 2010 calling for the removal of the Urban Boundary and the problems it causes to young families.
